Watching birds of prey at La Magarola

Every year since 1988, an observation and monitoring campaign has been carried out in September and October, when birds of prey pass through the Park. Observation is carried out from La Magarola hill (430 m) and is open to everyone at weekends. Expert monitors help visitors to identify the different species.

How to get to La Magarola hill

By car to:

- Revolt de la Paella, km 3.9 along the Carretera de La Rabassada road – park and walk approximately 1.3 km along the path to reach La Magarola hill.

- At km 6.5 on the Horta-Cerdanyola road (Pas del Rei track) – park and walk approximately 1.7 km along the track to reach La Magarola hill.

- Vista Rica, km 5 along the Carretera de La Rabassada road. Continue on foot to GR-92 footpath and follow the signs: Turó de Santa Maria hill - Pas del Rei – La Magarola hill.


On foot:

-From Barcelona. From Parc del Laberint d’Horta, behind the Velodrome – find the GR-6 (Barcelona-Montserrat) footpath and follow the signs: Portell de Valldaura - Carretera de la Rabassada - Vista Rica.
